Latin American Currencies Mixed On Wednesday,Wednesday, April 18, 2007 12:15:24 PM

The Latin American currencies were mixed in action against the dollar on Wednesday. The currencies moved with little economic news from their respective area.

The Argentina peso showed little movement against the dollar on Wednesday. The peso held near a mark of 3.0780 into the mid-day action. On the whole, the Argentine currency is at a three month high against the buck.

The Brazilian real saw choppy movement against the dollar in midday trading on Wednesday. The currency bounced between a high of 2.0340 and a low of 2.0410. Overall, the real is at a two week low.

The Mexican peso was choppy in action against the dollar on Wednesday. As trading progressed into the afternoon, the currency moved between a high of 10.9656 and a low of 10.9999. Generally, the currency has held in a range against the dollar over the past month.
