Forex News: 18.04.2007 UK unemployment fell in February
Measure of unemployment in UK registered a pickup in joblessness in the three months to February.
The number of people claiming unemployment benefits in UK fell 9,200, a larger fall than the 5,000 decline forecast by economists. The claimant count has now fallen in eight of the last nine months.
.However, the number of potential workers without jobs rose 21,000 in the three months to February, although the unemployment rate was unchanged at 5.5%.
